Martin & Drought, P.C, Announce Office Move To Weston Centre
The Law Office Has Relocated within the Heart of Downtown San Antonio
The law firm of Martin & Drought, P.C., has announced a change of locations following its move to Weston Centre in downtown San Antonio.
The firm has built a solid reputation over more than 50 years, and Martin & Drought specializes in several legal areas, most notably real estate, oil and gas, banking, international law, and litigation. At Martin & Drought’s new location, it will continue to serve existing clients and expand its clientele.
After more than 35 years at the firm’s previous location in the Bank of America Plaza Building, the firm was eager to remain downtown. When the firm received the opportunity to move to the Weston Centre, it jumped at the chance to experience enhanced amenities, space, and well-run property management services.
In a recent interview, current managing shareholder Cottie Miles and a past managing shareholder, Carl Friedsam, discussed the firm’s move to Weston Centre while providing a few additional insights into the firm’s practice.
“We love to be in downtown San Antonio. We have discussed moving to other areas of town but we always come back to wanting to be downtown. I ride my bike to work every day which is something I could not do elsewhere in San Antonio or in almost any other city” explained Friedsam. “I love to work on the Riverwalk and be near all of the art, culture, and history of downtown San Antonio. It is great to be near the Alamo, the Briscoe Western Art Museum, and The Pearl among other attractions. On certain Friday afternoons, we often go for a run on the Riverwalk to The Pearl area and sometimes end up at La Gloria Restaurant,” added Miles.
When asked about what drew them to Weston Centre, Miles shared, “Mona (the President of Weston Properties, L.C.) and Tammy (the Vice President), are excellent property managers, great to work with, and have done a wonderful job maintaining the property. Our early impressions are that the building is stunning, the amenities are great and the management team is responsive and easy to get in touch with regarding anything.” Friedsam explained that after working with Mona and Tammy during the initial acquisition of the building several years ago, returning to the Weston Centre feels like a “Welcome Back.”
And there is a lot to come back to at Weston Centre. The property is renowned for its impressive amenities in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The building was originally completed in 1988, and since then, it has earned its designation as “Downtown’s Best Address”.
From their onsite property management and leasing team to food trucks, Riverwalk access, and more, the team at Weston Centre has made the property as accessible and enjoyable as possible for tenants and visitors alike. Their club-level amenities include a high-end fitness centre, rooftop terrace, and state-of-the-art conference centre in order to provide everything their tenants might need.
Miles, Friedsam, and the rest of the legal team at Martin & Drought are excited to continue providing legal services in San Antonio from their new location. As Miles explains, “We enjoy working hard, and it’s rewarding when the client is excited to work with us!” Now, in their new offices, there is, even more, to be excited about. “We have asked ourselves, in an effort to improve our firm, “there are over 5000 attorneys in San Antonio, why should a client pick us?” Martin & Drought’s new offices are just one more reason why.
