Commitment to Local Management
Weston Centre in 1992 was a step ahead of its competition and the Weston family planned to keep it that way. Graham Weston established an on-site management office and insisted on a local leasing agent. He was committed not only to ongoing building maintenance and landscaping, but also in invested in technology.
From the beginning, Weston Centre enjoyed a high occupancy rate. In 1993, however, with La Quinta Corporation’s desire to relocate to downtown and the signing of a major, long-term lease with the growing hotel company, occupancy shot up over 90 percent and Weston Centre has never looked back. In 1994, Graham Weston and the immediate Weston family bought out the early investors.
